Will Stephen Drew save the Redsox?

The Redsox are in the midst of a four game losing streak, they are back below .500 and they need help.  Yesterday the Redsox may have gotten what they needed to right the ship.  They signed veteran shortstop Stephen Drew who was an integral part of the 2013 World Series Championship team.
But will Drew be enough?  Will Stephen's defense and superior offence (at least in comparison to Will Middelbrooks who he is essentially replacing) be enough to get the Redsox over the hump?
In my opinion, No.  Drew will help and may help the team get back above .500 and considering how mediocre the AL East is this year it might be enough to make the play-offs.  But making the play-offs isn't the goal.  I live in Braves country and in listening to fans talk on the radio they are content with making the play-offs.  As a Redsox fan we expect to repeat!
So what do the Sox need to do in order to repeat?  They need to add two pieces.  They first of all need to add a Catcher who can hit.  With AJ Pierzynski hitting only .244 and David Ross sub .200 and both of them getting old Boston needs a young bat who can give those two guys a break.  The other place they need help is in the outfield.  Preferable they need someone with speed, power and hits for average.  The speed is not as important but they do need another big bat for the outfield.
So, in conclusion, no Drew will not save the Redsox, but he will help them.  Look for Boston to make a move before the trade deadline if you expect to see them in late October.
